ACCESS AND EGRESS – ELEVATORS FOR HOISTING WORKERS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1630(a) (2014) – Employer’s building, which was over 65 feet high, lacked the required construction personnel elevator on the day of the inspection.

ERECTION OF STRUCTURES – SKELETON STEEL
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1710(l)(7) (2014) – On the day of inspection, no planking or flooring was installed in Employer’s structure, and workers had access to a zone of danger.

ERECTION AND CONSTRUCTION – BRACING
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1709(b)(1) (2014) – Beams were not braced laterally as construction on Employer’s structure progressed. Employer did not provide a copy of a site-specific engineering plan to demonstrate that it was safe for employees to work in areas that were not laterally guyed or braced.

ERECTION OF STRUCTURES – COLUMN ANCHORAGE EVALUTED BY COMPETENT PERSON
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1710(f)(1)(D) (2014) – Vertical columns of skeleton steel were not evaluated by a competent person during erection to determine whether guying or bracing was needed.

ERECTION OF STRUCTURES – FALL HAZARD TRAINING
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1710(q)(2) (2014) – Employer did not provide a training program for all employees exposed to fall hazards. The Division established a violation, which it properly classified as serious.
