ELEVATING WORK PLATFORMS AND AERIAL DEVICES – OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (AERIAL DEVICES)
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3648(o) (2016) (2016) – Employees were not required to be secured to the basket or boom of an aerial device by a safety belt, body belt or body harness equipped with safety strap or lanyard, because the orchard man-lift exception to fall protection requirements applied. The safety order contemplates aerial devices in which more than one person may be present; the definition is not limited to devices that can hold only one person.
