INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM (IIPP) –METHODS AND PROCEDURES FOR FOR CORRECTING UNSAFE OR UNHEALTHY CONDITIONS, WORK PRACTICES AND WORK PROCEDURES IN A TIMELY MANNER BASED ON SEVERITY OF HAZARD
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, §§ 3203(a)(4), 3203(a)(6), 3203(a)(7) (2015) – Employer established and implemented procedures to correct the hazard of heat exposure and heat illness, including procedures to: respond to symptoms of possible heat illness; contact emergency medical services when necessary; and designate an available person to ensure that emergency procedures were invoked when appropriate. Employer also provided effective training for employees on the hazard of occupational heat exposure and heat illness. As a result, its appeal was granted.
