Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 342(a) (2015) – Employer failed to satisfy its independent duty to report a serious injury to the Division.

DEMOLISHING BUILDINGS – HAZARDS RESULTING FROM WEAKENED OR DETERIORATED FLOORS OR WALLS, OR LOOSENED MATERIAL
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1735(d)(4) (2015) – Employer violated the safety order by failing to detect an inadequately braced wooden beam during demolition operations, and failing to prohibit its employees from working where the hazard existed. The Division established a serious, accident-related violation.
