GENERAL PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND STRUCTURES ORDERS – INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM (IIPP) Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 3203(a) (2019) – Employer failed to establish and implement an effective injury and illness prevention program, a serious violation. The IIPP lacked at least three required elements. POWER TRANSMISSION EQUIPMENT, PRIME MOVERS, MACHINES AND MACHINE PARTS – SHAFTING, COLLARS, CLUTCHES, CUT-OFF COUPLINGS AND CLUTCH PULLEYS, GUARDING Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4050(a) (2019) – Employer violated the safety order by failing to guard an exposed rotating shaft in a coil machine, a serious, accident-related violation. The Appeals Board rejected Employer’s contention that the Division improperly failed to cite a more appropriate safety order.
