GLENDALE -- Adverse comments by the regulated public - and by the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) - prompted the Cal/OSH Standards Board to rethink a proposal to allow workers to attach personal fall arrest (PFA) systems to guardrails in certain instances. Instead, the board staff said it will discuss the proposal at an advisory committee next year.The Nov. 18 public hearing also was highlighted by comments on a permanent proposal to ban hand weeding in agriculture.
