COMPACTORS - AUTOMATIC INTERLOCK ON GATE
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, 4353(h) (2001) - The Appeals Board agreed with the ALJ decision that Employer's compactor/baler, which had an autogate system rather than an automatic interlock system, did not comply with the safety order's requirements. The Board rejected Employer's arguments that inconsistent testimony was equally credited, that it complied with a more general subsection of the safety order, and that the safety order's language was ambiguous.
