Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1670(a) (2004) - Employer's foreman fell 18 feet from a roof edge, suffering serious injuries, when he failed to use fall protection. Employer established no valid defenses, and the serious classification, accident-related characterization and penalty were found appropriate.
