INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM (IIPP)
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, §§ 1509(a), 3203(a)(4), (a)(6), (a)(7) (2016) – Employer’s IIPP was missing required elements including procedures for identifying workplace hazards, methodology or procedures for correcting unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and training and instruction provisions.
FLOOR, ROOF AND WALL OPENINGS TO BE GUARDED – WALL OPENING ABOVE WORKING SURFACE
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1632(j)(1) (2016) – The Division failed to establish that Employer was required to guard a wall opening more than three feet above the working surface.
FALL PROTECTION – PERSONAL FALL ARREST SYSTEMS, PERSONAL FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AND POSITIONING DEVICES
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1670(a) (2016) – Employer violated the safety order by failing to provide personal fall arrest, restraint or positioning systems to employees working near an unprotected edge, resulting in an employee’s 25-foot fall from a window.
