SCAFFOLDS – SAFE AND UNOBSTRUCTED MEANS OF ACCESS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1637(n)(1) (2013) – Employer did not provide a safe and unobstructed means of access to a scaffold platform. Although an alternative means of safe access was available, the foreman’s actions exposed the other employee and himself to the fall hazard.
FALL PROTECTION – PERSONAL FALL ARREST SYSTEMS, PERSONAL FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AND POSITIONING DEVICES
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1670(a) (2013) – Two employees, including a foreman, were not wearing fall protection while working on a scaffold, in violation of the safety order.
