New York Cider Mill Cited After 12-Year-Old Worker Suffers Arm Amputation

A cider mill in upstate New York has been cited for child labor violations with a proposed penalty of more than $50,000 by the U.S. Department of Labor after a young worker had his arm severed in an auger accident.The incident happened at Mayer's Cider Mill in Webster, near Rochester. The boy lost his arm below the elbow while operating the auger.
